Gilly, who joined the company in 1974, has held numerous positions in the finance division, most recently serving for seven years as vice president of finance and information technology.
Carol Post was promoted to principal in Thornton Tomasetti Inc.'s Chicago office. Post, who continues to hold the title of vice president, joined the firm in 1997 and has more than 25 years of structural engineering experience.

Deerfield-based Walgreen Co. promoted Stanley B. Blaylock and Mia M. Scholz from divisional to corporate vice presidents. Blaylock, 44, retains his title of vice president of specialty pharmacy for Walgreen health services, the managed care division of Walgreen. Scholz, 41, was promoted to corporate vice president of accounting and controller.
