St. Edward 45, St. Francis 44: The Green Wave (5-1, 2-0) carried what appeared to be a comfortable 9 point lead into the fourth quarter, but St. Francis mounted a comeback that St. Edward fought off to earn a Suburban Christian Blue victory on the road.

"The girls played tough," said St. Edward coach Michelle Dawson. "We broke out in the third quarter, but St. Francis came back in the fourth. They are a tough team and I'm proud we pulled it out tonight."

Callie Johnson recorded double-digits to lead the Green Wave with 12 points while Rena Ranallo added 9 points. Paige Gannon and Maddie Kerr chipped in 7 points apiece.

Bartlett 83, Elgin 16: The Hawks (8-0) used a balanced offensive attack to make quick work of the Maroons (0-7) as 14 different players recorded at least 2 points on the day in this Upstate Eight Conference crossover game. Jacki Gulczynski scored a game-high 14 points for the Hawks while Christina Carlson (9 rebounds) added 12 points, 10 of which came in the first quarter. Janessa Baker (4 assists, 2 steals) came up just shy of double-digits with 9 points. Briana Hamilton led the Maroons with 9 points.

Dundee-Crown 50, Larkin 26: The Chargers (2-6) picked up their second consecutive victory as they carried a 31-11 lead into halftime over the Royals and never looked back to earn the win. Ali Sanders (14 points) and Diamond Williams (10 points) led the Chargers offensively with double-digit efforts. The Royals (1-6) were led by Maggie Hoffman and Jill Casebeer, who scored 9 and 8 points respectively.

Burlington Central 54, Winnebago 48: The Rockets (5-3) found themselves trailing in every quarter, including being down by 5 points heading into the fourth quarter, but they rallied back to score 22 points in the final quarter of play and earn a nonconference victory on the road against Winnebago. Brenda Thasavong turned in a stellar performance as she poured in a game-high 21 points for the Rockets. Alli Settanni also contributed double-figures scoring 15 points while Catherine Kaynish chipped in 8 points.
