Westminster Christian improved to 2-0 in its own Thanksgiving Tournament with a 75-34 victory over Morgan Park Academy in Elgin Tuesday.

Senior center Ian Dutcher led the way for the Warriors with 17 points while senior Luke Carani scored 14 points and Steven Hoeflich added 12.

Lake Park 55, South Elgin 51: Playing without sophomore point guard Jake Maestranzi, who sprained his ankle in Monday’s season-opening win over Elk Grove, the Storm dropped this nonconference game at the 25th Annual Chuck Mitchell Thanksgiving Tournament at Fenton in Bensenville.

South Elgin outscored the Lancers 18-13 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Lake Park’s 31-17 halftime lead. Sam Sutter scored 21 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead South Elgin (1-1). Guard Michael Duarte added 10 points for the Storm.
