Scouting St. Viator at Dunbar
St. Viator (1-0) vs. Dunbar (0-1)
When: 7:30 p.m. today at Lane Tech Stadium
Last week: St. Viator d. Sullivan 63-0; Dunbar lost to Washington (D.C.) Dunbar 33-28
Outlook: St. Viator looks to continue its trend of fast starts by going 2-0 for the sixth straight year against a team it beat 48-14 last year and also in the 2006 playoffs. "They're better than they were last year," said Viator coach Chris Kirkpatrick. "They know what they're doing and they have a really good running back and a very athletic quarterback. They have a lot of kids playing both ways but they'll hit you." Viator was doing some hitting of its own last week as Anthony Pensa, Ryan Romenesko and Mike Wolf led a defense that allowed only 9 total yards. Cameron Korab had a solid first start at QB and Nick Frett had TDs rushing, receiving and on a punt return.
