Committeeman says GOP has 3 winners

Schaumburg Township residents are desperately seeking candidates who will tell us what they will do if elected. That is exactly the type of candidate the precinct captains of the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization have endorsed in each of our township's three state representative races: Ryan Higgins (56th District); Billie Roth (44th District) and David Harris (66th District).

While their Democratic opponents attempt to distance themselves with empty rhetoric from eight years of one-party rule and mismanagement, each of our Republican candidates has told us how they will tackle our state's significant challenges.

Don't just take my word for it; compare the candidates' websites.

Last year, Republican precinct captains in Schaumburg Township overwhelmingly endorsed Ryan Higgins. They ignored the attack from opponents who claimed that Ryan hasn't lived here long enough - even though he has lived in the Northwest suburbs almost all of his life. They ignored the attack that he wasn't old enough because our precinct captains - most of whom are middle-aged men and women - recognized that Higgins has a vision well beyond his years.

Furthermore, they saw a bright, fresh new leader who they knew would go to Springfield and say, "Enough of the chaos; we have a better way." They saw what nearly 75 percent of all Republican voters saw in the primary election - that Ryan Higgins has the guts to stand up and say what he will do.

This year, Republicans in Schaumburg Township have given the voters a clear choice between agents of the status quo, or a new direction from a local mayor who has had a balanced budget in Streamwood for the last 20 years (Billie Roth), a retired Major General of the Illinois National Guard (David Harris) and a bright, hardworking attorney with an exciting new vision (Ryan Higgins).

To me, the choice is clear.
