Des Plainesbull; Vandals used white paint to spray gang graffiti on a brick wall at Orchard Place School, 2727 Maple St., between June 4 and 10. Damage was estimated at $100.bull; Burglars broke into a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica van in a hotel lot at 1450 Touhy Ave. between 9:30 a.m. June 12 and 9 a.m. June 13. Loss was estimated at $800.bull; Micho Todorovich, 24, of the 3300 block of Ruckman, El Paso, Texas, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. June 13 outside a home on the 500 block of Radcliffe Avenue and charged with battery. Reports said he grabbed a woman's arm, twisted it behind her back and caused her to hit her face on a table, breaking a tooth and cutting her lip during a party. His court date is July 28. Rory J. Lanham Jr., 24, host of the party, was arrested an hour later and charged with local ordinance disturbing the peace after neighbors complained about the noise, reports said. Maxx, 19 Golf Rose Center, and charged with retail theft. His court date is July 15.bull; Mauricio Islas, 20, of the 100 block of North Hager Avenue, Barrington, was arrested around 2:20 a.m. June 11 at Roselle and Central roads and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). His court date is July 9.bull; Burglars broke into a 2005 Honda Accord on the 1700 block of Sessions Walk between 8 p.m. June 10 and 8 a.m. June 11 and stole a radar detector and GPS unit. Value was estimated at $800.bull; Burglars stole a GPS unit and small billfold out of a 2000 Ford Explorer on the 4200 block of Winston Drive between 4:30 p.m. June 10 and 9:30 a.m. June 12. bull; Burglars stole a GPS valued at $120 out of a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a driveway on the 600 block of Evergreen Lane between 5 p.m. June 10 and 7 a.m. June 11.bull; Burglars stole a GPS valued at $110 out of a 2009 Hyundai Tucson on the 5200 block of Landers Drive between 10 p.m. June 6 and 7 a.m. June 7.bull; Burglars stole a pair of prescription sunglasses and a garage door remote out of a 2004 Jeep at a home on the 1500 block of Cornell Place between 10 p.m. June 13 and 6 a.m. June 14. The burglars used the remote to open the detached garage. They stole an iPod, GPS, and in-dash radio/CD player out of an unlocked 1999 Chevrolet Blazer and a radio and three folding lawn chairs out of the garage. Value was estimated at $20,000.bull; Vandals tossed a plastic bag containing toner ink and weighted down with large bolts and screws into the apartment complex swimming pool on the 400 block of Enterprise Drive between 4:30 p.m. June 10 and 9 a.m. June 11. Damage was estimated at $2,000.bull; Burglars stole a laptop computer valued at $1,000 out of an unlocked 2005 Hyundai Elantra in an apartment lot on the 1400 block of North Elmhurst Road between 5 p.m. June 12 and 12:30 p.m. June 13.bull; Vandals spray painted gang graffiti on a school sign and brick wall at John Jay School, 1835 Pheasant Trail, on a stop sign and two wooden fences on the 1800 block of Pheasant Trail, on exterior apartment building walls and a truck box on the 1400 block of Brownstone Court, on an exterior wall at a home on the 1300 block of Tamarack Drive, and on a trailer and shed at a home on the 1800 block of West Magnolia Lane overnight June 12-13.
