Antioch clinches tie in NSC Prairie

A day after hitting 6 home runs against Wauconda, Antioch's softball team cranked out three more Thursday in beating the Bulldogs again.

Allie Anttila belted a 3-run shot in a 5-run first inning, as the host Sequoits went on to win 14-1, clinching a tie for first place in the North Suburban Prairie Division. Olivia Duehr and Sam Kozenski also homered for Antioch (21-5, 10-0).

Lauren Moore (2-for-3, 2 runs, 3 RBI), Cat Dinklenburg (2-for-3, 2 runs, RBI) and freshman Katie Keefe (2-for-3, 2 runs) also contibuted offensively for the Sequoits. Duehr and winning-pitcher Kozenski each had 3 RBI.

Kate Martino led off the game for Wauconda (15-11, 7-3) with a home run.
