Emily Bell went 2-for-3 with a double and 5 RBI as Burlington Central downed Richmond-Burton 7-3 Thursday in a Big Northern East softball game.

Sam Gruner was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI for the Rockets (4-5, 1-1) and Jet Kein tossed a 5-hitter to pick up the win.

CL Central 4, Dundee-Crown 2: Tiffany Rawlinson (2-for-3) and Danna Jenson (2-for-3) led the offense for Dundee-Crown (0-10, 0-4) in this Fox Valley (Valley) loss. Melany Love was the Chargers' losing pitcher.

North Boone 7, Hampshire 6: Grace Jakubowski went 2-for-2 with a double but Hampshire (3-8, 0-1) fell in this Big Northern East game. Jennifer Hurst was the Whip-Purs' losing pitcher.

Streamwood 9, East Aurora 6: Kelsey Johnson allowed only 2 runs in pitching a 10-inning complete game as the Sabres (5-9, 1-4) won their first Upstate Eight game of the season. Bri Bogdajiewicz was 4-for-5 with 4 stolen bases for Streamwood.

St. Charles East 8, Elgin 0: The Maroons (6-11, 2-3) managed just 6 hits and couldn't dent the plate in losing this Upstate Eight game, snapping Elgin's 3-game winning streak. Hannah Perryman (5-3) suffered the loss for Elgin.

Rockford Christian 16, Westminster Christian 6: Katie Moeller and Hannah Graves each went 2-for-3 at the plate but the Warriors (1-4, 1-2) fell to Rockford Christian on the road.
