Farmer's market:Fans of the Old Dundee Farmer's Market, mark your calendars. The farmer's market begins its season on Saturday, May 8, at the Depot, 319 N. River St., East Dundee. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market features more than 40 vendors each week selling locally grown produce, bedding plants and flowers, plus antiques, jewelry and collectibles. The annual sale will be held from noon until 3 p.m. Sunday (May 2) at McHenry County College. Native plants are meant to offer food and homes for birds and butterflies and also use less water. Cash and checks are accepted, no credit cards.
