Library to host local leadersTwo Democrats that represent the Elgin area in Springfield will host town-hall style meetings during the first week of April at the Gail Borden Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin. State Rep. Keith Farnham and Elgin Mayor Ed Schock will co-host a meeting at 7 p.m. April 6 and state Sen. Mike Noland will host a town-hall meeting at 7 p.m. April 8. Old phones will be accepted at three locations: 723 S. Route 31, West Dundee; 261 Keyes Ave., Hampshire; or 1400 S. Route 31, McHenry. The donated phones will be sent by the Illinois Fox Valley Society for Human Resource Management to ReCellular, which pays to give soldiers an hour of talk time.
