Job workshops offered Tuesdays in Libertyville
Countryside Association for People with Disabilities is hosting free job hunting workshops from 1 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday, Aug. 16 to Dec. 27, at the Cook Memorial Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville.
The workshops are open to the public and are intended to assist job seekers in obtaining computer skills necessary for an effective job search.
With four different classes running on a recurring cycle, this opportunity will assist people whose computer proficiency ranges from beginner to intermediate. Topics include "The Basics of Online Job Searching"," Building an Effective Resume and Cover Letter," "Online Job Searching II," and "Interview Skills."
With the exception of the session on interview skills, which can accommodate up to 50 participants, the maximum occupancy for each class is 8.
Workshop instruction will be provided by Community Employment Specialists from Countryside Association, but we are also looking for experienced volunteers who have an interest in leading a workshop.
