South Elgin splits: Sam Bolin tossed a 4-hitter for her fourth shutout of the season as South Elgin won Game 1 of a nonconference doubleheader at Rolling Meadows 5-0. Meadows came back and won the nightcap 5-4. Bolin (12-8) struck out four and walked two and also went 3-for-3 with an RBI in the opener. Shannon Conway, Kara Rodriguez and Taylor Rees each had doubles for the Storm. Rodriguez had a triple and Rees (3-3) suffered the loss in Game 2 for South Elgin (15-11).

Westminster loses 2: Westminster Christian played up in class and fell to Class 3A Sycamore 24-3 and 17-0 in a nonconference doubleheader. Porsche Griggs had a 2-run homer for the Warriors in Game 1 and Katie Moeller added a double. Aly Hieschler also drove in a run. Moeller was the losing pitcher. In the second game, Westminster (6-11) was no-hit. Rachel Fugiel suffered the loss for the Warriors.
