He struck out 12 and walked four while allowing 4 hits. Kevin Elder was 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Frank Oliver had 2 doubles and 2 RBI, Andrew Mason added 2 hits with a double and Dylan Scully and Aaron Weiwel each added doubles for the Warriors (21-6).
Bartlett 8, Rolling Meadows 3: Dan Gallanis had a triple to help the Hawks (9-13) to a nonconference win over Rolling Meadows.
Burlington Central 10, Glenbard South 3: Tanner Scott was 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and Nick Hahn and Blake Alexander (2B) each added 2 hits for the Rockets in this nonconference win. Sam Klein also had a double, while Chris Mull pitched 4 innings and allowed only 3 hits for his first win of the season.
Palatine 13, Burlington Central 10: Tanner Scott was 4-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBI but the Rockets (14-7) fell to Palatine in a Saturday night game at Trout Park. Zach Ranney was 3-for-3 and Blake Alexander had 2 hits for the Rockets. Ranney (2-2) was the losing pitcher.
Larkin loses 2: The Royals (9-15, 3-13) managed just 4 hits on the day in losing an Upstate Eight doubleheader to St. Charles East, 5-0 and 10-1. Nick Morado’s double was Larkin’s only hit in Game 1. Cody Wahl and Kyle Newquist suffered the pitching losses for the Royals.
