Eric Handrich slammed 11 kills, leading Libertyville’s boys volleyball team to a 25-11, 18-25, 27-25 win over visiting Notre Dame on Tuesday night.

Matt Tassler added 6 kills for Libertyville (1-2), while Bryan Bonamarte and Brandon Leatherwood each had five.

Teddy Kopacz set 64 of 66 with 32 assists. Leatherwood also had 2 solo blocks and 3 assisted blocks. Kopacz and Stewart Zacher had 12 and 10 digs, respectively. Rob St. Claire chipped in 4 kills.

Highland Park d. Mundelein: The Mustangs fell 25-20, 25-21, despite 7 kills from Darrien Horn and six from Parker Tortorello. Joey Timmerman lofted 22 assists on 61-of-61 setting.

Mundelein (5-2) also received 4 kills from Corey Flores.

Lake Forest d. Antioch: Eric Phillips had 6 kills, 15 assists, 3 aces and 2 blocks for the Sequoits in their 25-21, 29-27 loss.

Antioch’s Patrick Keefe hammered 5 kills and served for 9 points.
