South Elgin High School: On Thursday, a Coffee House Cabaret will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium, 760 E. Third- and fourth-graders will perform at 6 p.m.; fifth- and sixth-graders will sing at 7 p.m.Lowrie Elementary: On Thursday, fourth- and fifth-graders will travel to Springfield for the day. They will visit Lincoln#146;s Tomb, the Illinois State Museum, the State Capitol, Lincoln#146;s Presidential Museum and New Salem Historic Village.Parkwood Elementary: On Wednesday, kindergarten registration will be at 9 a.m. at the school, 2150 Laurel St., Hanover Park. This concert includes all members of the seventh-grade choral groups and honors members of the eighth-grade chorus from each middle school. Students rehearse under the direction of Michael Popplewell, choral director at Elmwood Park High School.
