Still time to signup for Schaumburg indoor triathlon

Stay active this winter at the Schaumburg Park District!

The chance to compete in a heated fitness center is here as the Schaumburg Park District hosts the Indoor Sprint Triathlon Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. The first wave will begin at 7 a.m. This action-packed event consists of a 10-minute swim, 15-minute bike ride and 15-minute run.

Winners are determined by total distance covered and receive plaques honoring their achievement the day of the event. Age categories exist for males and females ages 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.

Space is limited to the first 48 registered. Preregistration is required by Friday, Oct. 28. There is no race day registration. Fee is $32. Registration forms are available at parkfun.com. Online registration is available at active.com.

The SPD Indoor Sprint Triathlon is part of the Midwest Indoor Sprint Triathlon Series with eight other park districts.
