Elgin Academy hosts Sept. 11 exhibit
Elgin Academy is hosting an exhibit of paintings inspired by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The exhibit, titled "September 11," will be on display in the Sears Gallery Theatre from Oct. 8 through Oct. 30. The exhibit will showcase the work of George Kokines, an artist who was living in New York City at the time of the attacks on the World Trade Center. A reception and talk will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Washington Room of the Sears Gallery. You can view the exhibit by appointment by contacting Danese Bardot at dbardot@elginacademy.org.
