Elgin Academy wins regional opener

Elgin Academy’s boys basketball team opened the postseason Monday night with a 56-37 win over Faith Lutheran at the Class 1A Christian Liberty regional.

Connor Flexman had 16 points and Aaron Thomas added 12 for the Hilltoppers.

Elgin Academy will play Christian Liberty in the 8:10 p.m. semifinal on Wednesday.
