Dundee-Crown handles Larkin
Jamel Kimbrough scored 19 points and Dundee-Crown opened up a close game at halftime to down Larkin 63-49 Friday night in nonconference boys basketball action.
Dylan Kissack and Ryan Smith added 13 points each for the Chargers, who moved to 7-4 on the season with the win.
“It was a nice way to start the new year,” said D-C coach Lance Huber.
Derrick Streety had 13 points, Quantice Hunter 11 and Vincent Sarangaya 10 for the Royals (2-12).
Latin 78, Elgin Academy 42: The Hilltoppers (3-8, 1-4) fell behind 31-0 after one quarter and couldn’t recover in losing this Independent School League game. Patrick Martinak had 12 points for EA and Aaron Thomas scored 11.
