Hononegah MLK Tournament:

Sam Johnson scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the first half as Neuqua Valley (16-2) cruised to an 84-46 victory in their second game at the Hononegah MLK Tournament. Jim Stocki and Pat Kenny added 11 points each.

Neuqua Valley opened Saturday’s action with a 57-49 loss to Normal West. Stocki scored 25 points to lead the Wildcats, but Normal West’s Austin Stewart broke loose for 29 points. Johnson scored 15 points.

Wheaton Academy 62, Rich East 47:

A balanced effort pushed the Warriors (14-1) to a convincing win at the Naperville North Shootout. Lucas Johnson led three double-digit scorers with 17 points. Lars Olson had 16 points and Wes Koral added 15 as Wheaton Academy jumped out to a 26-12 halftime lead.

Stevenson 37, Naperville North 36:

The Huskies (8-8) fell at the Naperville North Shootout despite a game-high 16 points from Matt LaCosse. Naperville North came up short after rallying from a 22-12 halftime deficit.

Moline MLK Tournament:

Fenton (5-13) claimed a pair of victories behind the potent scoring of senior Dan Montano. The 6-foot-3 forward scored 28 points in a 55-52 win over Harlem and then scored 26 points in a 65-60 victory over Rochelle. Colin Wallace scored a total of 25 points in the two wins.
