Recipe: Sidecar (English School)

Ice

1½ ounces brandy

½ ounce Cointreau

½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

Orange peel and/or maraschino cherry, for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the brandy, Cointreau and lime juice, and shake until condensation appears on the outside of the shaker, about 30 seconds. Strain into a martini glass, and serve immediately, garnished with a twist of orange peel and/or cherry, if desired.

Serves one.
