COD student music groups perform in December

The student music groups at College of DuPage will perform throughout December at the McAninch Arts Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

All performances are on the MAC Mainstage, unless otherwise noted.

DuPage Chorale – 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4

Group members perform choral masterworks featuring soloists and the DuPage Chorale Orchestra. The Dec. 4 concert features a mixed bag of music for the season, including Gospel and American masterworks. Tickets: $16 adults/ $14 seniors/$6 youth and student.

DuPage Community Concert Band – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6

Open to students through adults, the DuPage Community Concert Band performs band repertoire. The Dec. 6 program “Overtures that Shaped the Band World.” Tickets: $4.

Small Group Jazz Ensemble – noon Tuesday, Dec. 6, and Thursday, Dec. 8, Theatre 2

The instrumental ensemble performs top-shelf materials from the first century of jazz history. Free.

Chamber Orchestra – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7

Open to students through adults, group members perform classical repertoire. Tickets: $4.

Guitar Ensemble – 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, Theatre 2

Members perform 20th century American music. Free.

Chamber Singers and Concert Choir – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8

The College's Chamber Singers perform madrigals, world and a cappella music from five centuries while the Concert Choir performs mixed repertoire. Tickets: $4.
