Schaumburg library offers Smart Money tips for all ages

Adults and children are invited to participate in upcoming Money Smart Week programs taking place this week at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road. Registration is required for the following free programs.

“Retirement Income Planning” is slated for 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, in the Adult Classroom. Participants will learn how to find reliable income in retirement, what the risks are and how to protect yourself from inflation.

“Junior Savors,” a program for children ages 6-8, will be from 3:30-4:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in the Youth Services Classroom. Children will learn about banks, saving money and more. This interactive program includes a fund game.

“Super Savers,” for ages 9-12, offers children the opportunity to learn about the importance of saving money, services offered by banks, and more through engaging activities. Super Savers will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25.

“It’s Your Money, Get Smart” will take place at 7 p.m., Thursday, April. 26, in the Adult Classroom. Attendees will learn how to put finances on the defense through assessing their financial situation, saving and investing in turbulent times.
