Community showcase spotlights best of Cary Grove

Submitted by Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce

Registration is in full swing for local businesses, government leaders, community groups and organizations interested in participating in the 2012 Cary Grove Community Showcase from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Cary-Grove High School, 2208 Three Oaks Road.

Sponsored by the Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, the event puts the spotlight on local resources and attracts hundreds of community residents. Registration forms are available on the chamber’s website, carygrovechamber.com.

“The Community Showcase has a long history of spotlighting the best features of our community,” said chamber Executive Director Suzanne Corr. “This event draws out the community to connect with village leaders, business resources, community groups, churches and more.”

A highlight this year, attendees will have a chance to enter a raffle to win two round-trip air seats to Cancun from Apple Vacations and Cary Travel Express. Some restrictions apply. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5, but free coupons for raffle tickets will be appearing in local papers and coupon mailers in the coming weeks.

The Community Showcase will feature an indoor farmers market with several vendors. The event is a preview for summer’s Cary Farmers Market. Vendors will offer dairy products, meats, cheeses, pickles, specialty foods, baked goods and more. The farmers market will be held in the high school cafeteria that day.

Every 100th guest arriving at the showcase on March 3 will win a raffle prize at the door. For more information, visit carygrovechamber.com or call the chamber at (847) 639-2800.
