March 4 concert to benefit food pantry in Des Plaines

"Will Play For Food," a benefit concert for the Des Plaines Self Help Food Pantry, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4 at the Des Plaines Theatre, 1476 Miner St. The auditorium doors open at 2:30 p.m.

It is being presented by Des Plaines resident Chris Langan, in partnership with Des Plaines Theatre. Featured in this event for all ages will be rock band Prodigal Son.

A variety of other acts will take place such as poetry readings by Zak Walczak and break dancing by Myron Laban.

All donations made to this event will go to the Des Plaines Self Help Food

Pantry.

All concert-goers who donate to the food pantry will be entered into a free raffle

for two Chicago Cubs tickets for a game in the upcoming 2012 season.
