GoldMax to open suburban stores
GoldMax USA, a large chain of stores specializing in buying gold and precious metals from consumers in the U.S., plans to open new stores in Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Streamwood and Schaumburg.
Last year, the company opened more than 70 stores across the country and spent in excess of $75 million buying consumers’ gold and jewelry. GoldMax offers cash for unwanted jewelry, coins, sterling silver flatware, tea sets, and candlesticks in an upscale environment.
GoldMax says it has changed the “cash for gold” game, and based on their success with approximately 200 stores and over 1 million satisfied customers.
GoldMax currently has more than 80 stores in Illinois and will celebrate the grand opening of additional stores. Both stores will open today at in Mount Prospect at 1 W. Rand Road and Machesny Park at 10209 N. 2nd St., Chicago. GoldMax also plans to open another new store in Schaumburg by the end of January and 7 other Illinois stores within the next 30 to 90 days. According to GoldMax co-founder Scott Garber, the company wants to have 85 stores in operation by the end of 2012.
