Hampshire notches win
Sophomore Grace Jakubowski was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and 3 RBI Tuesday as Hampshire overcame 6 errors to notch a 7-5 nonconference softball win over Belvidere.
Freshman Jen Hurst picked up the win for the Whip-Purs (1-3), allowing 7 hits and no earned runs. She struck out two and didn't walk a batter.
Hurst was also 3-for-4 with 3 RBI at the plate, while Christina Potempa and Amanda Wescher each had 2 hits for Hampshire.
