Simpson sparkles as North Chicago rolls

Aaron Simpson became the North Chicago boys basketball team’s all-time leading scorer Friday night.

Simpson scored 27 points to lead the host Warhawks to an 83-54 win over Wauconda in North Suburban Prairie Division action.

Simpson, a senior guard and Illinois State recruit, has 1,677 career points.

Kyle Ryan had 20 points for Wauconda (7-8, 1-4), while Austin Swenson added 15.
