Who will be Schaumburg Idol?
The final two contestants in the second season of the Schaumburg Idol contest are now counting on the favor of the judges to claim victory.
After performing their hearts out, Jessica Blakely and Rachel McKenzie nearly evenly split the 19,706 votes cast in online polling after their last performances.
The unenviable task of choosing between them now falls to the Schaumburg Idol judges, who will post their decision at 5 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Schaumburg Park District's website, parkfun.com.
In the meantime, full episodes of "Schaumburg Idol" can still be seen on the park district's cable-access station WSPD - which can be seen on channel 15 on Comcast, channel 14 on WOW and channel 99 on AT&T.
Through Aug. 23, the shows can be seen at 2 a.m., 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; and at 3 a.m., 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
