Advocate Condell names new Vice President of Medical Management

Advocate Condell Medical Center announced the appointment of Debra Susie-Lattner, M.D., M.B.A., as Vice President of Medical Management effective February 20, 2012.

As the Vice President of Medical Management, Dr. Susie-Lattner will be charged with overseeing both health outcomes and patient safety initiatives. She will also have oversight of hospital regulatory compliance.

Dr. Susie-Lattner, a board certified internist, joins Advocate Condell from Alexian Brothers Medical Center where she served as Vice President of Medical Affairs since 2004. During her time at Alexian Brothers, Dr. Susie-Lattner oversaw the Medical Staff Office, as well as Patient Safety and Quality and Clinical Resource Management. She was instrumental in reducing Medicare length of stay, improving blood utilization, developing a palliative care program, and implementing a multidisciplinary sepsis initiative with an annual variable cost of care savings of $1 million.

Prior to serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Susie-Lattner was managing partner of Northwest Healthcare Associates in Elk Grove where she was in practice from 1986 to 2004.

A graduate of Iowa State University and the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Dr. Susie-Lattner completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She also earned an MBA from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Susie-Lattner lives in Mount Prospect with her husband and has two grown sons.
