District 54’s McHugh honored

The Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA) has named Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 Community Relations Director Terri McHugh the 2011 recipient of its Distinguished Communicator Award.

McHugh’s colleagues emphasized that she “... exemplifies the professional practices of school public relations and has shared her time and talent through countless volunteer hours.”

McHugh is a past INSPRA president and now chair of the National School Public Relations Association’s Membership/Professional Development Task Force. It was also noted that McHugh mentors new school public relations professionals and runs a highly successful school public relations department.
