Governor recognizes Schaumburg recycling event

Schaumburg’s recycling event held in the spring of 2012 has received a Governor’s Hometown Award under the category of Beautification & Sustainability. The event was conducted cooperatively by the village, Schaumburg Environmental Committee, Schaumburg Township District Library and Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54. Representatives are being invited to the awards reception later this fall at the governor’s mansion in Springfield.
