End tax break for Sears

The Sears EDA has to be stopped. Clearly none of the people deciding on this issue have students in District 300 or care about our children; otherwise, this amendment would not have been sneaked into legislation at the eleventh hour.

Our children are the future — what message is being conveyed if corporate and political greed are put ahead of education?

Sears and Hoffman Estates have had 23 years to enjoy their EDA with no accountability. It is time for politicians and corporate heads to do the right thing and invest in the children of Illinois and their education. The students of District 300 deserve a bright future.
