St. Edward comes back to earn win

Down 43-42 heading into the fourth quarter, St. Edward came back to noth a 58-51 Suburban Christian Gold win at Guerin Saturday night.

Michael Ellis paced the Green Wave (3-3, 1-1) as he recorded 17 points, 6 of which came in the fourth quarter. Zach Brewster (13 points) and Edward O'Halloran (11 points) also registered double-digits while Troy Gudino and Ben Lehman chipped in 8 and 7 points, respectively, for St. Edward.

Metea Valley 65, Larkin 49: The Royals (2-6) fell behind Metea Valley 15-11 after one quarter of play and could not recover as they were defeated in this Upstate Eight Conference crossover matchup. Sophomore Quantice Hunter paced the Royals offensively with 11 points while Vincent Sarangaya and Derrick Streety chipped in 7 points apiece.

Waubonsie Valley 69, Streamwood 46: The Sabres (3-6) were unable to fight off the Warriors as they were defeated in Upstate Eight Conference crossover action on the road. Mike Montgomery recorded double-digits for the Sabres as he picked up 11 points.
