Schaumburg course rude to seniors

I am writing this letter to complain about Schaumburg Golf Course handling and lack of support for senior citizen and people who have a physical difficulty walking a golf course when it is golf path only.

I am Schaumburg senior citizen and I had a total right knee replacement in February of 2011. I am currently golfing on a seniors league, 9 holes, on Tuesday at Fox Run. On Thursday I golf with a group called The Legends, where the average age is in the 70s. The Legends play a different golf courses each week.

All the neighboring courses I have played (Fox Run, Poplar Creek, Glendale Lakes, St. Andrews, the old Nordic Hills and others) all provide some kind of assistance to the senior citizen and physically impaired golfers, either with a handicap flag attached to a golf cart or with larger groups, 90 degree only rules, when it is cart path only.

On May 12, the Legends had a tee time at Schaumburg at 10 a.m. and were told there were NO special favors for their group. Cart path only and walk or don’t play.

I am a responsible senior citizen who understands that given permission to drive on wet grass, I know to avoid driving in areas were it could cause damage. I would like to know why Schaumburg golf course does not provide the same handicap services that the other neighboring communities provide to any senior or physically hampered citizen?
