Let’s retire township GOP on election day
On Election Day, I won’t have any tolerance for Illinois politics as usual. That’s why I plan to vote out the Schaumburg Township Republican team. The Schaumburg Township team attempted to prevent any opponents from appearing on the ballots, and I couldn’t help but think that kind of political maneuvering was Illinois politics as usual.
Awhile back, the Schaumburg Township team closed the Schaumburg Spectrum Teen Center and made that decision without any community input. We don’t need that kind of backward thinking in Illinois politics. Even worse, Mary Wroblewski, the Schaumburg Township supervisor, promised to reopen the Teen Center, and a year later, these teens, who are too young to vote, still have no place for support.
Don’t you think it’s time to send a message? Broken promises and political double talk should have no place in Illinois politics.
