Board meetingbull; The U-46 Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. Monday in Room 140 at the Educational Services Center located at 355 E. Chicago St., Elgin. The public is welcome to attend and provide comments to the school board at the open meetings. For more information on the board, visit the "School Board and Community" link on the district Web site at u-46.org.Final examsbull; Final exams will be held at the high schools Wednesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 15.Ellisbull; On Wednesday, band students will present a concert at 7 p.m. in the Ellis Middle School auditorium, 225 S. Liberty St., Elgin. The performance also features the beginner and intermediate bands comprised of band students from Huff, Lords Park, Channing and Hilltop elementary schools. Parents will learn how to prepare their child for testing.Otter Creekbull; On Wednesday, a school assembly called "A Musical for Young Audiences about Thomas Edison" will be presented at 8:45 a.m. for students in fourth through sixth grades by Phase to Phase Production.
