Glenbard East students earn recognition in international research field

Glenbard East's Advanced Placeement Seminar student team of Filip Bugaj, Safa Ahmed, Itzel Valenciano and Heba Syed designed and implemented an experiment testing the effects of red light on mutants of Arabidopsis thaliana.

This experimentation was supported by a botanist through the online platform Planting Science.

Of the 815 teams participating internationally in this plant research experience in first semester, this team was one of 15 teams chosen to be a Star Project for specific exemplary work done with their project.
