Schaumburg Library celebrates National Poetry Month with IL Poet Laureate Angela Jackson

Schaumburg Township District Library welcomes Illinois Poet Laureate Angela Jackson for an online poetry reading on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

Illinois State Poet Laureate Angela Jackson will read her favorite poems for the Schaumburg Township community. Join online via Zoom or join friends and neighbors for a watch party in the Central Library Workshop to watch and enjoy the online performance together.

Jackson is an accomplished and award-winning poet, novelist and playwright, who has published three chapbooks and four volumes of poetry. The Chicago southside native is Illinois' fifth Poet Laureate.

This online poetry reading from Angela Jackson will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, 1:30-3 p.m. Viewers can register to watch online via Zoom, or join the watch party at the Central Library Workshop.
