Seven arias by Mozart, Giordani, Bizet and Lehar will be featured in this performance.

The Sinfonietta Bel Canto also supports an orchestra that performs any array of musical gems throughout its season.

One such work is Adolph Weidig's "Three Episodes," Op. 38. Weidig immigrated to the United States in 1892 and became the Dean of Theory at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.

"Three Episodes" was premiered by both the Chicago Symphony and Berlin Philharmonic.

This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and National Endowment for the Arts.
