Local Teen Named as Wendy Heisman School Winner

Karleigh is a Senior at Grant Community High School. She has been a member of the Cross Country Team for 4 years, played basketball for 3 years, and ran track for 3 years. In addition to sports, Karleigh is a member of the National Honor Society and Principals Advisory Council. She earned a scholarship to Girl's State over the summer through The Fox Lake American Legion Post 703 and attended Midwestern University for a two week summer session for students interested in Pharmacy. Karleigh has her pharmacy technician license and plans to attend a college or university with a 6 year program to earn her Doctorate of Pharmacy and become a pharmacist.
