Muir hosts Community Celebration
The gymnasium at John Muir Literacy Academy was filled with students, staff and families the morning of March 23 for the school's annual Community Celebration. The event was held to celebrate students getting to school on time, and Principal Carolyn Allar thanked the families for everything they do to help make that happen. Students had received tickets for on-time arrivals, which were entered to win prizes that had been donated by the community. The drawing for the items, which included gift certificates, movie passes, books, games, and Chicago Wolves tickets, took place during the celebration.
