Library Program to Target Student Loans

To help those facing years of student loan payments, the Schaumburg Township Library will present "I Graduated with Student Loans - Now What?" from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, in the Rasmussen South Room of the library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.

Karen Chan of Karen Chan Financial Education and Consulting, LLC, will show attendees how to determine the types of loans they have, along with their rules and repayment options. She will additionally discuss the advantages and disadvantages of consolidating or handling a defaulted loan.

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. Registration takes place online or by calling (847) 923-3347. Patrons may also register in person at the Information Desk on the library's second floor.
