Best of Bloomingdale winners announced
The winners of the 2021 Best of Bloomingdale were announced at an awards dinner Aug. 26.
This signature Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce event is designed to recognize outstanding members of the greater Bloomingdale business community. This is the chamber's fifth year hosting this event, which is growing in popularity each year. The process started with nominations from the community followed by public voting. Winners were chosen by popular vote and a panel of judges reviewing a questionnaire completed by the nominees. Winners will receive an blown glass award to display in their business, a poster, a sign to display in front of their business and a Best of Bloomingdale Winner logo to use in their marketing for the coming year.
Businesses are placed in appropriate categories with one special award.
The Best Overall award is given to the one nominee that stood out above the rest in both voting results and the judges' evaluations.
This year the award was presented to Wolfden Brewing. Wolfden is a previous winner and was also the Rising Star winner in 2019 for new being an new successful business.
"We new great things were coming for Katie and Kristov Wolf, (owners of Wolfden). They do a fantastic job of marketing, building a following, and bringing in special events and bands to the area," said Cindy Allston, president of Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce. "I'm excited such a young business received this special recognition. They are an inspiration to young entrepreneurs."

Best of Bloomingdale is normally held in March, but due to the pandemic was moved to August. The chamber will be accepting nominations for next year's awards in January.
Anyone can nominate a business at BestofBloomingdale.com during January. The chamber encourages the public to get involved and have a voice on who wins the awards.
The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce supports the success and growth of businesses and the community. Membership is open to any business who wants to invest in their own growth through promoting their business through marketing, sponsorships and building relationships. The chamber offers a variety of free and fee-based events making it possible for members to get involved and be known.
