Schaumburg Library Cancels Programs through March 31

Schaumburg Township District Library is cancelling all Library programs through Tuesday, March 31, and taking additional actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In accordance with the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Illinois Department of Health, the library is taking the following preventative actions to help minimize the spread of COVID-19:

• All Library programs are cancelled through March 31.

• All Meeting Room reservations are cancelled through March 31.

• All Outreach Services, including home deliveries and visits to senior living facilities, are cancelled through March 31.

• Until further notice, all Library locations will remain open for our regularly scheduled hours of service.

These changes to library services are a precautionary measure and are not due to any known exposure to COVID-19 at the library. Additionally, until further notice, the library is continuing its increased cleaning regimen and removing many toys from public areas.

All patrons are being notified of these changes, including those registered for affected programs.

Many library resources are available online. All ages are welcome to use the library's eBooks, streaming services, online learning and more from home.

Library management will continue to monitor the recommendations of public health officials and notify the community if additional changes to library services are necessary.
