Those who lived or worked in Wauconda area can become part of oral history project
Interviews are being collected from anyone who lived or worked in Wauconda, Island Lake, Volo, Lakemoor, or Port Barrington between 1930 and 1980.
Participants in recorded interviews can share as much or as little as they like or write the information and have it read by someone else. Participants will be asked about life in town, businesses, schools and other memories.
Interviews will be saved by the Wauconda Township Historical Society and be available to the public online as part of the StoryCorps Archive at the Library of Congress.
