Local Leagues team up for baseball fundraiser supporting voter engagement

Two local League of Women Voters chapters for the Palatine-Barrington-Schaumburg Area and the Roselle-Bloomingdale Area are teaming up for a night of summer fun and civic support at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg.

On Thursday, Aug. 21, the Schaumburg Boomers take on the Gateway Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. at the stadium, 1999 Springinsguth Road.

The first one thousand fans, age 21 or older, will receive a free Boomers cap. Bring your family, friends, and community spirit for a night of baseball, local pride, and voter empowerment.

Tickets are $16 each for reserved seats with proceeds benefiting the vital nonpartisan work of both Leagues, including voter education, registration drives, and advocacy for good government. The League of Women Voters is a trusted nonpartisan, inclusive, grass-roots organization working to empower voters and defend democracy.
