I took this image in my room on my desk; I set up the lighting from a certain angle to ensure I would be able to effectively illuminate the incense and its' smoke. I also had a light shinning downward so there would be enough information for my DSLR so I could use a high shutter speed (to freeze the motion of the smoke). I captured this in black and white to add to the contrast between the white smoke and dark background. Kim Lemke of Wayne
I took this photo on our fall trip to Mongolia in 2014. We rode these horses in the snow in the Khovsgol Lake region of Mongolia. Lou Wilson of St. Charles
I took this photo after a rainstorm. The wet leaves stained my driveway I thought it looked like a painting! Jill Raschke of St. Charles ...
My wife took this picture while at a wedding this past weekend in Eagan, Minnesota. I'm not sure what causes a cloud pattern like this but it makes for a nice picture. Dave Hoffrage of Lombard
I took this shot in a Wheaton, IL garden on a rainy fall day. I was drawn by the large raindrops contrasting with the rich colors and lines of the cabbage plant and fallen leaves. Mike Weimer of St. Charles
