Schaumburg Library offers online literacy classes and 'Constitutional Rights for Immigrants'

Adults who want to improve their English language or reading skills, or who would like to gain a clear understanding of their constitutional rights as immigrants, are welcome to attend free online programs this month offered by the Schaumburg Township District Library. Register online at SchaumburgLibrary.org to receive a Zoom link for the following programs.

The library's "Conversation Club" for those who speak English as their second language takes place from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays through Oct. 30. Participants discuss various topics as they hone their English speaking skills.

Discover the "Best Apps for Learning English" from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14. Attendees will learn about quick, easy to access apps that will be a valuable addition to English classes.

Rights for immigrants will be the focus of "Constitutional Rights for Immigrants" from 6-7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19. Participants will also learn about the process of obtaining a Temporary Visitors Driver's License (TVDL) in Illinois.
