Anthem singer to speak at breakfast

Hospital guild plans glitzy benefit

The Villa Park Unit of the Elmhurst Hospital Guild will host its annual dinner and fashion show, "Glitz and Glamour" Nov. 7 at Diplomat West Banquets, 681 W. North Ave., Elmhurst. A cash bar opens at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a fashion show at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $28. Proceeds will benefit Elmhurst Memorial Hospital programs. Sample wines to go with holidays

The Burr Ridge/Hinsdale/Oak Brook Lions Club will host "A Vine in Time," a holiday wine tasting benefit, from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, 5901 S. County Line Road, Hinsdale. The event will include a sampling of both domestic and imported wines, hors d'oeuvres, wine auction and more. Proceeds benefit Campaign SightFirst, a blindness prevention program.
